Who we are
Trakt is a marketing analytics and attribution product at trytrakt.com and app.trytrakt.com. Sent247 is a lead distribution and cost-per-lead reporting product at sent247.com and app.sent247.com. Both are operated by Profit Geeks (AM Marketing Group Pty Ltd, ABN 37 613 053 286) in Australia.
This page is the product notice for Trakt, and the privacy policy for the Meta app Data Geeks, which both Trakt and Sent247 use. Sent247's own privacy policy is at sent247.com/legal/privacy. The company privacy policy is at profitgeeks.com.au/privacy. Questions and privacy requests for either product go to [email protected].
Who this notice is for
It covers three groups. Trakt customers, the businesses and their staff who hold an account. People who connect a Facebook Page, an Instagram professional account, or a Meta ad account to Trakt or Sent247 through Facebook Login. And the end customers of a Trakt customer, whose visits, leads, or orders that customer chooses to track.
If you are an end customer of a store or business that uses Trakt, that business decides why your information is collected. We process it to provide tracking and attribution to them. Contact that business first, and contact us if you want us to delete what we hold.
What Trakt does
Trakt records visits and conversions on a customer's own site, attributes them to advertising, and can send conversion events back to ad platforms the customer connects. Customers can also connect Google Ads, X Ads, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and ActiveCampaign, among other tools.
We collect account information you give us (name, email, password hash, and the workspace you belong to), billing details if you pay us, and support messages you send. On a connected website we process tracking data the customer's pixel or server sends us: page URLs, click identifiers, a visitor id, approximate technical data such as user agent, and events such as a purchase. Where the customer includes them, that can include a name, email, or phone number. Email and phone used for ad-platform matching are hashed before they are sent to the platform.
Facebook, Instagram, and Meta
Trakt and Sent247 use the same Meta app, named Data Geeks. In both products a customer connects with Facebook Login and chooses which Meta ad accounts, Facebook Pages, and Instagram professional accounts to connect.
From that login we receive an access token, the app-scoped Facebook user id, and the ad accounts, Pages, and Instagram accounts the login can reach, including their identifiers, names, currency, and the business portfolio they belong to. Sent247 also receives the pixels (datasets) under each ad account.
- Trakt reads campaign, ad set, and ad performance and spend from the connected ad accounts, including breakdowns by age, gender, device, placement, and country, and each ad's review status so it can alert the customer when Meta disapproves an ad. It pauses or resumes a campaign, ad set, or ad when the customer asks it to.
- Trakt reads the connected Page's posts, engagement, and insights, and the linked Instagram professional account's profile, media, and insights, to show organic results next to paid results.
- Sent247 reads daily campaign spend, clicks, and impressions to calculate cost per lead.
- Sent247 receives the answers people give on the customer's own Lead Ads forms, through the Page's new-lead notifications, and treats them as that customer's leads.
- Conversion uploads (both products): if the customer turns them on, the product sends that customer's own conversion events to the customer's Meta pixel or dataset. For Lead Ads leads, Sent247 includes the Meta lead id so Meta can learn which leads became customers. Identifiers such as email or phone are hashed before they are sent. That is the customer's data going to Meta, not Meta's data coming back to us.
- Custom Audiences (Sent247): if the customer turns this on, Sent247 creates and updates a customer list audience from the customer's sold leads in the customer's own ad account. Email and phone are hashed before upload.
How we use Meta data
We use Meta data only to provide Trakt or Sent247 to the customer who connected the account. We do not sell it, we do not use it to advertise to you on our own behalf, and we do not pool one customer's Meta data into another customer's workspace or account.
Permissions the Meta app requests
Facebook Login asks for your permission before either product can access an asset. Each product asks only for the permissions its features use. The app requests:
- ads_read, so we can read ad accounts, campaigns, performance, review status, and spend.
- ads_management, so Trakt can pause or resume your campaigns, ad sets, and ads when you ask, so Trakt and Sent247 can send your own conversion events to your Meta pixel, and so Sent247 can create Custom Audiences from your sold leads in your own ad account when you turn that on.
- business_management, so we can find ad accounts, Pages, and pixels that are owned by or shared into your business portfolios, not only assets in your personal name.
- pages_show_list and pages_read_engagement, so you can choose which Pages to connect, so Trakt can read your Page's posts and engagement and find its linked Instagram account, and so Sent247 can read the Page details it needs for Lead Ads.
- read_insights, so Trakt can show your Page insights.
- instagram_basic and instagram_manage_insights, so Trakt can show your Instagram professional account, its media, and its insights.
- leads_retrieval, so Sent247 can receive the leads from your own Lead Ads forms.
- pages_manage_metadata, so Sent247 can subscribe your Page to new-lead notifications.
- pages_manage_ads, so Sent247 can list your Page's Lead Ads forms for you to map to a campaign.
Other products we connect to
Depending on what a customer connects, Trakt also exchanges data with Google (Google Ads and Google Analytics), X (X Ads), Microsoft Clarity, and ActiveCampaign. Google Ads and X Ads are used to read ad spend and, when the customer turns it on, to upload conversions. Google Analytics and Clarity are used to read site analytics the customer already collects. ActiveCampaign is used to read contacts, tags, and campaign activity the customer connects, so leads and email engagement can be attributed.
Each of those providers processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. We send them data only for the customer who connected them, and only for the purpose that customer switched on.
Why we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, secure, and support the Trakt account and workspace.
- Measure visits, leads, and sales, and attribute them to advertising.
- Pull ad spend, performance, and organic insights from the accounts a customer connects.
- Send conversion events back to ad platforms when the customer enables that.
- Pause or resume ads when the customer asks, and alert the customer when Meta disapproves an ad.
- Detect abuse, debug failures, and keep the service reliable.
- Meet legal obligations, including a request from you to access or delete information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information with service providers who host and run Trakt (infrastructure, email delivery, and error monitoring), with the ad and analytics platforms a customer has connected, and with a professional adviser if we need one. We share it with a Trakt customer's own users according to the permissions on that workspace. We disclose it if the law requires us to.
We do not sell personal information.
Overseas disclosure
Profit Geeks is in Australia. Some of the providers above, including Meta, Google, and X, store and process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Where the Australian Privacy Principles require it, we take reasonable steps so that an overseas recipient handles the information in line with those principles. The customer who connects a platform is also choosing to send their tracking and conversion data to that platform.
How long we keep it
We keep account and tracking data while the Trakt workspace is open, because the customer uses it for reporting. We delete it when the workspace is closed, or when a valid deletion request asks us to, and we aim to finish that within 30 days. Backups roll off on the hosting provider's normal cycle.
Meta login data is deleted when you disconnect the integration in Trakt or Sent247, when you remove the Data Geeks app on Facebook, or when you email us. That covers the access token, the Facebook user id (Sent247 also stores it in hashed form), Page access tokens, and the ad account, Page, Instagram, and pixel details stored from that login. Removing the Data Geeks app on Facebook deletes this data in both Trakt and Sent247. See Data deletion.
Security
Access tokens and other credentials are encrypted at rest, stored for the workspace or account that connected them, and are not returned to the browser once saved. Traffic uses HTTPS. No method of storage is perfect. If you believe an account has been compromised, email [email protected].
Children
Trakt and Sent247 are business products. They are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Contact us if you believe we have.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and to correct it. You can ask us to delete Meta data as described on the data deletion page, and you can complain to us and then to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) if you are not satisfied.
A Trakt customer can export or delete their workspace by contacting us. End customers of a business that uses Trakt can ask that business, or ask us, to delete the tracking data we can match to them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is material we will also notify account owners by email or in the product.
